The area offers an amazing variety of choices for families and single
holidaymakers. Snettisham's beach is less than three
miles away which is an RSBP bird reserve. The beautiful sandy beaches along the
North Norfolk coastline, where you can still be in glorious solitude amongst the
sand dunes even in mid-summer, and the bustling harbours of Brancaster Staithe
and Burnham Overy Staithe, full of sailing craft, are about twenty minutes away.
Explore the smart shops at Burnham Market ( often referred
to as Chelsea On Sea! ) for a treat. Hunstanton, a more traditional holiday
destination and is within easy reach. Other local facilities include golf courses, sailing and windsurfing, indoor sports and swimming. Snettisham has a tennis court and cycles can be hired from Bircham Windmill, a working windmill and watering hole. Other tourist tractions include the stately splendour of Holkham Hall and Houghton Hall, Castle Acre and Castle Rising, Norfolk Lavender and the ancient port and the market town of King's Lynn with its theatre, arts centre and local museums. Further afield the cities of Norwich and Cambridge are only an hours drive away. |
